What if result is negative (goes past midnight)?
If subtracting gives a time before 12:00 AM (midnight), add 24 hours and note it is the previous day in Eastern time. For example: 5:00 AM IST − 9:30 = −4:30, add 24 = 7:30 PM EDT (previous day).
